In the summer of 2017, I got inspired by the “she shed” trend and decided that we should convert our 10′ x 12′ shed full of junk into a functional space. We started by removing all the makeshift shelves and junk and installing some large windows that we picked up from Habitat for Humanity for $160. Here’s Matt doing the demolition and framing in the windows.
In the summer of 2018, we completed the space by dry-walling, painting, and installing trim, a ceiling fan, and vinyl plank flooring. I updated some pine tables by painting them white and outfitted the space with a TV, futon, and mini-fridge. Voila! A perfect lounge space for the kids.
